Everything Changes

The more messed up this world gets, the more God makes sense.

Zaavan (ZAY-ven)

This is Zaavan. He is almost 3 and has severe cerebral palsy. I "met" him through his dad's blog - EXFOLIATIONS. Zaavan is in the hospital with a virus that is causing serious dehydration. I asked his dad if I could post his picture to ask my friends to pray for him. His dad replied... "if you have access to more of the troops, please send the battle cry and rally them to their knees on behalf of my son."

Will you?

"...if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven."
[Matthew 18:19 | New International Version]

"If you have faith when you pray for sick people, they will get well."
[James 5:15 | Contemporary English Version]

But the fact is, it was our pains he carried--

our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us.

We thought he brought it on himself,

that God was punishing him for his own failures.

But it was our sins that did that to him,

that ripped and tore and crushed him--our sins!

He took the punishment, and that made us whole.

Through his bruises we get healed.

[Isaiah 53:4-5 | The Message]
Thanks...

Got him covered (in prayer)!!

11:12 PM

thank you. zaavan is much more alert today and is actually tolerating small but gradually increasing feeds of pedialyte. hopefully tomorrow (thur) he will start taking food. if all goes well, he should be home sometime fri. keep him covered. my wife and i can't thank you enough and just using those words seems trite in and of themselves as we have nothing to offer back for your generosity. so, i'll offer them again anyway. thank you.
