There are nine requisites for contented living:
HEALTH enough to make work a pleasure
WEALTH enough to support your needs
STRENGTH enough to battle with difficulties and forsake them
GRACE enough to confess your sins and overcome them
PATIENCE enough to toil until some good is accomplished
CHARITY enough to see some good in your neighbor
LOVE enough to move you to be useful and helpful to others
FAITH enough to make real the things of God
HOPE enough to remove all anxious fears concerning the future
~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
These are cool
Question
Is love not more than just being useful and helpful to others?
But now faith, hope, love,
abide these three;
but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13

I don't want to be content.... I want to be free! Which are often very different things :)
SICKNESS enough to make one compassionate and dependant upon the love of others
POVERTY of spirit
WEAKNESS enough to realise the battle is His alone most times
GRACE enough to realise that He has already forgiven us and overcome
PATIENCE enough not to act until He gives the okay sometimes
CHARITY enough to love your neighbor even when you can't see any good at all, despite all attempts to the contrary
LOVE enough to simply love and allow God to flow out of you, be it in seasons of activity or inactivity
FAITH enough to last you until you know Him experientially
HOPE enough to transcend the fears that defy removal
;)
But the original list is good too. lol
